Church Street Centre, Evesham
We provide care and support for older people with dementia, in a friendly, warm and welcoming environment.
Our services
Church Street Centre provides day care for older people who are still living in the community, either on their own, or with family or friends.
We can provide a welcoming and caring environment for up to 10 older each week day.
The Centre can give a carer a respite break, and helps older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible. We have experienced and caring staff and volunteers, who ensure safety and comfort at all times.
A hot midday meal is provided each day, as well as light snacks and drinks. We can also provide diabetic, vegetarian or alternative meals by prior arrangement.
Activities
We arrange various activities, entertainment, outings and special events for our clients throughout the year.
Activities include:
- Bowls
- Skittles
- Quizzes
- Crosswords
- Reminiscence sessions
Transport
The Centre is open from Monday to Friday, and we have a minibus that can provide transport for clients on specified days. A member of staff is always present on the minibus to escort clients, as is our driver.
It is possible to accommodate a wheelchair on the minibus by prior arrangement.
Carers group
A carers group is held at the Centre on the third Monday of every month. Run with the help of the Admiral nurse, the group provides support, advice and information for carers, as well as a chance to meet people in similar situations.
Become a volunteer
Volunteers at the centre provide support in a number of ways, such as helping at the centre, collecting meals and driving the minibus.
