Lone working

Lone working is a frequent occurrence in many voluntary and care sector organisations. Lone working might occur when people provide services to the public in their own homes, such as in an information and advice capacity or when offering home-based support services.

Lone working training 

This course aims to:

 

  • promote personal safety and security
  • identify working practices and strategies that enhance personal safety
  • identify the difference between aggression and assertiveness
  • how to handle difficult situations and people
  • identify how to develop self-confidence
  • examine a range of case studies to identify good practice
