Mental Capacity Act

This course examines the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and considers its implications for the care and/or voluntary sector. It aims to:

Mental Capacity Act training 

  • develop an understanding of the MCA 2005
  • understand how decisions about capacity are judged
  • consider how the act may change current care practices
  • consider the deprivation of liberty safeguards
