This course examines the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and considers its implications for the care and/or voluntary sector. It aims to:
- develop an understanding of the MCA 2005
- understand how decisions about capacity are judged
- consider how the act may change current care practices
- consider the deprivation of liberty safeguards
