At Age UK, we strive to provide a quality service to all our customers and value all the feedback we receive, good or bad.

This is why we regularly contact people and ask them about the HandyVan service they received. We may request that we visit your property to see how our staff have performed and see if the work has been done to the high standards we expect to deliver.

If you are contacted, we will introduce ourselves, arrange a convenient time to visit you and wear our identity badge when we visit you at home. If this is inconvenient for you please just say and we'll arrange to visit another client. 

When things go wrong...

We value your experience of the service. If we have not been able to resolve your complaint after our best efforts, we will be able to give you the details of an external party to discuss your complaint.

If you would like a copy of our full compliance procedure, please just ask.

When things go well...

If you have been satisfied with the service you have received or would like to make a suggestion on how we can improve things further, please tell us using the customer satisfaction survey that we'll send you along with your appointment letter. We will send you a Freepost envelope for you to send this back to us. We welcome all your feedback which helps us continually improve our service.

Equally, if you are happy to help us promote the service to other people, we would also be glad to hear from you.

Managing your information

When you contact us, we will take down information about you and the repairs and improvements you'd like. We are registered under the Data Protection Act and any information will be treated confidentially and kept safe and secure on our system.

Our aim

The HandyVan service aims to improve the quality of life and provide peace of mind to people in later life by making their homes more safe and secure. We help people overcome day-to-day and long term concerns in the home, so they can maintain their independence and continue living safely in their own home. We deliver this with fully-qualified, police-vetted HandyVan fitters who have been trained to support people in later life.
