Will Writing Scheme 2016

Plan for your future, and that of your loved ones.

Writing a Will gives you the reassurance that your wishes will be met, and that your estate will be distributed to the people and causes that you care about.

Throughout March 2017 a selection of Island based legal firms will generously donate their time to a great cause. In return for a donation of £75 (Single Will) or £150 (Joint Will) to Age UK Isle of Wight they will write you (or you and your partner) a simple Will.

The scheme and is open to all Island residents over the age of 50 years old (subject to appointment availability at participating legal firms).  

Taking part is easy, you simply:

Please ensure you check appointment availability with your chosen legal firm before completing the steps below and making your donation, appointments are limited and are at the legal firms’ discretion.

Then you can complete your booking in one of three ways:

  1. Once your appointment is booked you can either complete the secure online form, and make your donation with a credit or debit card, here: Will Writing Scheme 2017 Payment Page
  2. Give our Fundraising Department a call on (01983) 525282 to complete the form and make your donation over the phone with a credit/debit card.
  3. Download and complete the: Will Writing Scheme Booking Form and return it with your donation (cheques payable to Age UKIW) to: Will Writing Scheme, Age UKIW, 147 High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1TY.  You can also drop off the form and make your donation in person at the same address.

On receipt of your donation you will be sent a confirmation letter and certificate that you should present at your appointment. 

To help you prepare for your appointment you will also be sent a simple Will Planner.  By taking some time to think about your wishes, and by listing your assets, you will help with the writing of your will and help your appointment to go smoothly.
