Become a trustee

Ever thought of helping a charity by becoming a trustee? We are the leading voluntary organisation looking after older people’s interests in the London Borough of Lambeth.

We are looking for new trustees who are part of our diverse Lambeth community who would like to use their abilities to help us develop and deliver our services to older people.

We need dynamic and motivated people who are sympathetic to the aims and objectives of Age UK Lambeth to fulfil these voluntary duties. We expect Trustees to contribute actively to the board of the charity by giving strategic direction; setting overall policy; defining goals and setting targets; evaluating performance; ensuring the charity’s effective and efficient administration and financial stability.

We are based in Brixton.

On the basis of a recent skills audit, we would particularly welcome people with skills in the following areas:

  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology
  • Customer Service

As part of succession planning, we also want people to back up existing skills and those with potential to become Chair (the current Chair will stand down in 2018 at the latest).

For an informal chat, call 020 7346 6800 and ask to speak to Age UK Lambeth's CEO, Graham Gardiner.
