Assistant Shop Managers

Bletchley shop

Salary: £7.35 per hour

Hours: 18 per week

 

Our shops are a vital source of income, raising the funds that enable us to provide services for local older people.  We need to recruit two Assistant Managers to work in our successful shop at 43 Queensway in Bletchley.

 

If you have excellent communication and customer service skills we'd love to hear from you.  You will also need a flair for merchandising to maximise sales and be able to demonstrate a track record in a responsible position in retail.  Experience of working in a charity shop would be advantage.  Regular Saturday working will be required.

Saturday Shop Assistant

(Bletchley shop)

Hours: 7 per week

Salary: £6.50 per hour

 

We need a keen, helpful person to work in our Bletchley shop on Saturdays.  You will need to be confident in dealing with customers and with people bringing in donations of clothes and other goods.  The post also involves arranging the collection and delivery of larger items of furniture and you will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills.

Handyperson (several posts)

Salary: £8.93 per hour


Zero hour contract

 

Due to an increase in demand for our Handyperson Service we need to recruit competent, experienced people who have an empathy with vulnerable people and an understanding of the issues that affect older people.

 

Duties will include carrying out general household repairs and advising on making the home energy-efficient.  This will entail participation in recognised training which will qualify you to fit security devices, smoke alarms and minor mobility aids for vulnerable and older people.

 

Experience in minor electrics, plumbing and carpentry work is essential, as is the ability to problem solve.  If you would like to join our small friendly team and help keep people independent and enjoying living in their own homes, we'd love to hear from you.

Home Support Workers (several posts)

Salary: £7.50 per hour

Hours: Up to 16 hours per week

 

Due to increasing need for our services we need more Home Support Workers, particularly in the north of Milton Keynes.  Successful applicants will have a caring nature and enjoy doing light housework, shopping tasks and general duties that help and support older people. 

 

We aim to enable older people to carry on living in their own home as long as they wish and are able.  By offering flexible support that suits the lives of our clients we help them enjoy later life.
