Home Support Worker - several vacancies

Salary: £7.50 per hour

Hours: by arrangement

We are looking for people to carry out light housework, shopping tasks and general duties that will help and support older people to remain independent in their own home. These vacancies are for throughout the Milton Keynes area.

A car and telephone are essential.

Assistant Shop Manager - Wolverton Square

Hours: 19.5 per week on a flexible rota basis

Salary: £7.03 per hour


We need an efficient, motivated and sales-focused person who can support the Shop Manager and help to achieve sales targets.  Duties include managing the day-to-day operation of the shop in the Manager's absence and managing and motivating staff and volunteers.


The Assistant Manager is also responsible for promoting goods through effective displays and merchandising.  The succcessful candidate will have a retail background and will want to use their skills and experience to the benefit of a local charity.  They will also need to be used to supervising a small team.


The shop is currently open from 9am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.  Hours are worked on a flexible rota basis by agreement with the Shop Manager.  Working alternate Saturdays is an integral part of the job.  Flexibility and adapatability are essential, as is the abilty to cope with the physical aspects of working in a charity shop that stocks a wide range of goods.
