With over 25 years experience delivering best practice services for older people, Linda has exceptional knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our ageing population.
Linda is a highly respected leader within Age NI as well as across Age UK and our wider stakeholder network. With this expertise and regard, Linda is ideally placed to lead the next phase in the evolution of the charity’s services, influencing, engagement and commercial activities.
Duane Farrell has been working within the community/voluntary sector in Northern Ireland since 1998. During this time, Duane has worked with a range of people including older people, younger people, and the LGBT community.
Duane was appointed to the post of Director of Policy for Age NI, in 2009 following the merger of Age Concern NI and Help the Aged in NI. In 2015, Duane was appointed as Charity Director, responsible for Age NI’s services, policy and engagement and development support to age sector groups and networks.
Previously, Duane worked as Head of Policy, Research and Communications for Help the Aged in Northern Ireland since February 2005. During his time in the Age Sector, Duane has been involved in developing and leading organisational and partnership approaches to influencing government policy and service provision to better meet the needs of older people, including the organisations work on the development of an Older People’s Commissioner for Northern Ireland; Social Care Reform; Changing Ageing Partnership (CAP); Uniting Against Elder Abuse. Duane sits on the Ageing Strategy Advisory Group and the Joint Government/Voluntary and Community Sector Forum.
Duane is a Trustee of Engage with Age, and is Chair of The Rainbow Project.
Director of Marketing & Business Development
Siobhan Casey has over 23 years international marketing, branding and strategic management experience. Siobhan is responsible for marketing, income generation, advice, ICT development, delivery and maintenance of the Management Information Systems.
Before joining Age NI, Siobhan worked as a consultant, coach and trainer with hundreds of businesses across Northern Ireland in the areas of marketing and business development and many community groups and public bodies such as Invest NI, local councils and health trusts. Prior to this, Siobhan was Director of Corporate Communications of Fruit of the Loom International, where she also held a number of pan-European brand and marketing management roles.
