About the exercises

This 40 minute DVD begins with a warm up, then takes you through exercises for particular parts of the body - feet and legs, hands and fingers - then whole body moves plus two standing sections. The first is quite simple that most able-bodied over 60's can do; the second is a little more difficult so you need to be sure of your balance. In both cases have a chair available to aid balance. The DVD ends with a relaxing cool down.

The exercises help to maintain mobility, flexibility and strengthen muscles and joints. They also help to improve circulation, balance and stamina. Many find the exercises reduce joint stiffness and aid walking. It is also a good follow up after physiotherapy has finished.

Liz Wood has worked with older people for over 20 years, running classes for those aged from 60 to 90 and above!

'I think this DVD stands out for the following reasons: It is aimed at the over 60's and those with restricted mobility, it covers exercises that are set to music which participants can sing along to, it is very easy to follow and it covers a wide range of exercises that the over 60's would benefit from and enjoy doing.'

'I especially wanted to use John's piano playing as the classes where I use it just love it. I find it very easy to work with and I feel it is much more suitable than a lot of today's pop music - many of my students ask where they can buy it. John is a very accomplished pianist in his own right and makes my tapes especially for me.'
