Prince William and Kate Middleton were married on 29th April 2011. Instead of wedding presents they asked their guests to donate to a fund for 26 charities.
Often newly married couples will end up with 10 toasters or 5 kettles. Why not follow the example of the Royal Couple and avoid this by asking your family and friends to make a donation to Age NI in lieu of wedding gifts?
Or perhaps you could make a donation to Age NI in lieu of wedding favours? We can provide Celebrate & Give cards that can be personalised and place in the centre of every table. A message can be added to the back of the card explaining that you have chosen to make a donation to Age NI instead of wedding favours. In addition we can provide pin badges for every guest. You can also set up your own Celebrate & Give web page on our Just Giving webpages.
Encourage your family and friends to visit your personal webpage. Your guests can donate via the website, by phone or by cheque.
The money we receive will be used to improve our services for people in later life here in Northern Ireland. A positive and unique way of celebrating any special occasion.
You don’t have to hold an event to Celebrate & Give for Age NI. You can make a donation or request donations to mark any special occasion. Instead of sending Christmas cards, rather than receiving Easter eggs, an alternative birthday gift – the list is endless!
We will acknowledge every gift to Age NI via email or personal letter.
If you hold an event or ask for donations in lieu of an occasion, we will let you know how much you have raised. You will also receive Age NI Celebrate & Give thank you cards which you can send out to your family and friends letting them know the difference their donation will make.
