Leave a legacy

If and when you have made the decision to make a Will and have decided upon your beneficiaries, you may also wish to think about leaving a legacy to Age NI.

It’s a common myth that only the rich and famous leave money to charity when they die.  This couldn’t be further from the truth.  The reality is without gifts left in Wills by people like you, many of the charities we know and support today wouldn’t exist.  Whether it be a cheque for £50 as a thank you for services received, donating your favourite sofa to a local day centre, donating your books to one of our charity shops, or a larger gift, a legacy of any kind makes a difference.

If you are considering remembering the charity in your Will, please ensure that you state:

  • the full and correct name of the charity
  • the charity’s address
  • the registered charity number

It’s always worth asking your solicitor to confirm that the details are correct.
