The South West Age Partnership (SWAP) is the proposed new name for The Senior Citizens Consortium Sperrin Lakeland network, covering the Fermanagh & Omagh areas.
There are approximately 21,543 people over 60 living in Fermanagh and Omagh making up 19% of the total population. The NI average is also 19% older people.
Last year SWAP produced a 5 year plan which includes the Values, Aims and Objectives of the network. SWAP's main objective is to work in partnership with statutory agencies to deliver joint services for older people in the Fermanagh and Omagh area.
SWAP in conjuction with Age NI will be producing information packs to send to recently elected MLA's to raise awareness of the network and to highlight issues affecting older people in the Fermanagh and Omagh area.
To be confirmed.
For further information on the South West Age Partnership, or on older people’s groups in the area, please contact SWAP's project managers, Alison or Pat on 028 8225 1824 or via email on awforbes@btconnect.com
