A second Mid-Ulster Assembly Candidate has voiced support of the High 5 election campaign.
Michael McDonald has been selected by the Alliance Party to stand for the Northern Ireland Assembly in Mid Ulster and for the Cookstown Council elections.
Mr McDonald said,
'I am fully behind the current campaign by Age NI to promote the High 5 issues affecting our elderly population. In my recent Focus newsletter I raised a number of points relating to the care of our elderly population and it is interesting to note that there are more people over the age of 50 than under the age of 19 living here. This is a cause for celebration and I for one will be championing their cause during my election campaign.'
