Anne O'Reilly, Age NI Chief Executive commented, ‘Research released by the Samaritans today reveals that money worries concern more people in Northern Ireland than in Great Britain.

'Age NI knows only too well the impact of money concerns on older people here.  With 23% of older people living in fuel poverty and 61% living in fuel poverty, our Advice Service is hearing from older people everyday who cannot cope.

'We would encourage anyone who is struggling on their income, or knows an older person who is, to contact the Age NI Advice Service on 0808 808 7575 today for a free benefits check.'
