It’s something that no-one likes to think about but Age UK Funeral Plans, offered by Age NI Enterprises, have launched a reward scheme to help encourage older people to consider funeral planning.
While some people find it difficult to think about, the reality is that funeral costs have continued to rise over the last few years and a funeral plan is a useful way of protecting from future cost increases – by paying for cremation funerals at today’s prices.
David Knocker from Age NI Enterprises said: ‘Planning your funeral in advance may sound like an unusual item to tick off on your to-do list but being organised can actually save a lot of unnecessary strain in the future. That’s why we are keen for people to consider this.
‘So why not pop in to see us and we can talk about your requirements - whether that be home, car or travel insurance, provided by Ageas Insurance Limited - and if you take out an insurance policy with us then you will also be offered a £20 voucher off the cost of a Funeral Plan. The saving can be passed to friends or family.’
All new and renewing insurance customers will be offered a £20 Funeral Plan discount when they visit the Age NI Enterprises office, which offers an array of products designed around the needs of those in later life.
Age UK Funeral Plans are provided in association with Dignity Caring Funeral Services. Age UK’s Funeral Plans enable people to fix the cost of their cremation funeral at today’s prices and remove the worry about rising costs. They are designed specifically for those in later life and offer flexible plans and payment methods to suit different requirements. The Age UK Funeral Plan guarantees that the cremation funeral costs covered by the plan are met in full and at today’s prices, meaning less worry and financial strain for all involved.

- Only one voucher may be used per Plan purchased
- No cash value to the vouchers
- The vouchers are valid until 31 December 2013. We reserve the right to vary, withdraw or extend this offer at any time.
