Enter our competition to win two tickets to see new comedy/drama movie 'Le Week-End' at the Queen's Film Theatre (QFT) in Belfast!
Roger Michell presents his portrait of an ailing marriage featuring the considerable talents of Jim Broadbent and Lindsay Duncan as the disenchanted couple Nick and Meg.
Le Week-End follows them on a trip to Paris as they try to jumpstart their marriage in that most romantic of cities. Running into a former college friend, played by Jeff Goldblum, Nick and Meg are invited to a party in his swanky new pad with his young, pregnant, second wife, further fuelling Nick's discontent and setting the scene for more marital disharmony...
With an acutely observed script by Hanif Kureishi and, unsurprisingly, superb performances from its two leads, Le Week-End is an immensely satisfying drama that packs a powerful emotional punch.
'Hanif Kureishi and Roger Michell have combined to create a tender, insightful portrait of a stagnant marriage, and a film of considerable substance.' guardian.co.uk - 4 Stars
