Age NI is urging older people to apply now for free cavity wall and loft insulation.

Funded by the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP) and offered by Power NI. It could help make a saving of up to £150 a year on energy bills.

Jacqui Corscadden, Age NI Head of Services, commented, 'This is a beneficial opportunity for older people to make improvements to their home at no cost, particularly as we enter the colder months of the year. The Age NI Advice Service handles a surge in calls throughout winter from older people who are struggling to stay warm enough at home. This initiative could make a huge difference to their budget, and their health and wellbeing too.'

'The process is quick and efficient with minimal disruption and offers great savings. People can go online to find out if they are eligible and apply at www.ageni.org/insulation

'Or they can contact the Age NI Advice Service on 0808 808 7575 to speak to an Age NI advisor in confidence about the scheme.'

Note: applications must be submitted by 30 November - so apply now!
