Give a little more to your local Age NI shop this spring - just sign up to Gift Aid and help the charity claim an extra 25% on every donation.
The Gift Aid scheme is for UK tax payers and allows Age NI to claim back the tax on any type of item donated by customers to the shop.
Anne O’Reilly, Chief Executive of Age NI, said, ‘We’re so grateful to everyone for their invaluable donations to the Age NI shops. At this time of year, when lots of people are thinking about a spring clear out, it’s important to remind our supporters that Gift Aid is a great way of increasing the value of their donation to Age NI. For every £1.00 raised through the sale of an item, the charity can claim an extra 25p.’
‘It couldn’t be simpler and doesn’t cost a thing. All you have to do is make a Gift Aid declaration by completing a short form when you bring in goods to the shop. You will receive a Donor ID card with a unique number that can be used to cover every donation made previously and/or in the future.’
Your much loved or unwanted goods can really help your local Age NI shop and help you make way for a new summer wardrobe! To donate unwanted clothing, accessories, CDs, jewellery and more to an Age NI shop, call in with your items and fill in a Gift Aid form today.
