Older people in Omagh, who are concerned about changes to adult social care in Northern Ireland, are invited to attend a public consultation in The Silverbirch Hotel on Tuesday 26 February.

The event is facilitated by Age NI, in partnership with the DHSPSS.

Margaret Carr, Age NI Engagement Officer, said, ‘This consultation is a great opportunity for older people to get involved and have their say on adult social care in Northern Ireland.

'The discussion will focus on social care services including home, residential and nursing home care, respite and day care, meals on wheels, social work, and advice & advocacy and how best these services should be delivered.

'This is an important consultation, not only for older people, but for their family, children and friends, now and into the future – everyone’s opinion really matters!'

She continued, ‘We warmly welcome groups of older people, and especially individual older people who are not part of a group, to come along.'

The event starts at 10am - 12:30pm and a buffet lunch will be provided.

To confirm your attendance, and any dietary requirements, email or call 028 9089 2606 by Friday 15 February.
