Mid Ulster Independent Health candidate, Hugh McCloy, is supporting the High 5 election campaign.
On his online blog Mr McCloy said,
'The constant removal of inpatient beds at the Mid Ulster has forced the older generation to have to pay privately for health care or suffer in silence in their homes.
'Soaring fuel prices and lack of public transport to and from centralised public health providers will lead to poverty, exclusion and fear of travelling to areas unknown to them.
'An ever growing service and representation for the ever growing older generation is a must in the New Assembly. The New Assembly needs to stop removing public health services in Mid Ulster. Replacing public health services with private enterprises is not a solution to today's problems.'
Hugh McCloy is Chairman of the Save the Mid Group and is contesting the Assembly Election on 5 May 2011. To read more about his campaign visit www.hughmccloy.com
