Because growing older isn’t always easy or straightforward, we provide information, advice and support to help make later life a better life.
Age UK North Staffordshire offers a free, confidential, independent and trusted information and advice service. In most cases we can help you directly, but if we’re unable, we will put you in touch with someone who can.
We have a drop-in service in Hanley, Newcastle, Leek, Biddulph and Cheadle.
Our information and advice service is specially tailored for the needs of anyone over the age of 50, and their friends, relatives and carers. Our help can make the difference between just managing and really living life to the full.
We stock over 70 different information guides and a wide range of leaflets covering many topics — please feel free to call in and browse.

Our friendly receptionists can often help with more straightforward enquiries and if you need to see a trained adviser, this will be arranged on the spot. Home visits can also be arranged where feasible if you have transport or mobility problems.
You can contact us in person or you could ask a trusted family member, carer, friend, neighbour, social worker or doctor to contact us on your behalf. Our trained, experienced advisers will discuss your enquiries or concerns with you with dignity and respect, in a safe and friendly environment.
We will provide you with all the information and advice you need to make an informed decision about what’s best for you.
Our advice is free, confidential, independent and unbiased; and no information is passed to anyone else without your consent. We work with other organisations, where appropriate and with your permission, to satisfy your enquiry.
