Older people in Northumberland are invited to train as volunteer exercise tutors to help their peers enjoy a healthy and active later life.
No previous instructor training is required. The course will provide the skills necessary for volunteers to deliver exercise to music classes to older people in the local communities.
Age UK Northumberland has been running exercise classes led by trained volunteers for many years. The demand for classes is enormous and at the moment there are not enough trained instructors to meet that demand.
People over 50 in the Hexham area now have the opportunity to enrol on the Exercise to Music Course. The FREE training involves attending one session a week for 15 weeks .The course will be held in the Wylam Institute, starting Tuesday 3rd March 2015.
To find out more about the training please contact: Anne Robinson Health Development Manager on 01670 784837
The project is supported by Big Lottery Fund
