Activity Organiser for Older Offenders

Hours: 16 hours per week over 3 days

Salary: £18,638 per annum, pro rata

Scale: AUNN points 20-23, £18,638 - £20,400 per annum FTE

Based: HMP Whatton

Tenure: Permanent

 

The Activities Organiser will research and plan a range of activities, discussion groups and skill based activities for older prisoners within HMP Whatton. They will seek to assist prisoners to become involved in activities to help reduce isolation and improve physical and mental well being.

 

Candidates should have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and should have the ability to ensure an efficient service delivery. They should also have proven experience of working with disadvantaged groups or offenders.

Hours: part time, 18 hours a week over 3 days (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). Saturday and Bank Holiday cover as required.

Salary: £6,137 per annum, AUNN points 6-7 (£12,614 - £12,915 FTE)

Based: Sybil Levin Centre, Nuthall Road, Nottingham

Tenure: Permanent

 

Do you enjoy the company of older people? Could you lead an activity and provide personal care? We require a day care assistant who will join our friendly staff team and help to provide a safe and friendly environment for older people. Previous experience of working with older people with mental health issues is desirable. The successful applicant will serve meals and drinks to older people and will also escort them home on our mini bus. There is the potential for more hours with this position covering staff leave.

 

Candidates should have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills and should have the ability to ensure an efficient and friendly service delivery to older people.
