We are an extraordinary charity with a long-standing history and deep roots in supporting older people

Age UK Notts exists to deliver high quality and effective services that are person centred and give choices to older people from all communities and backgrounds across the City and County.

Every year, we engage with over 50,000 older people. Every day, we provide vital services that directly impact over 140 older people. Every 10 minutes, a vulnerable older person will be left helpless without our crucial work. As a local independent charity we are reliant upon being able to raise over £3 million every year, over £300 every hour of every day to continue our life-changing work.

Your generous support enables us to create a world in which older people flourish - free from poverty, discrimination and disadvantage. We have the experience, the expertise and the will to do so. But to bring this to fruition we need the help individuals and organisations - and supporters - to support us.

Consider people like Barbara and Ted...

Barbara feels helpless

Elderly lady looking out of the windowAfter her beloved husband Stan died, Barbara would often go weeks without seeing or speaking to other people. She was unable to manage her household finances and do basic tasks like cooking, cleaning and reading letters. Partially sighted and suffering from diabetes, Barbara had no family to help her. With her independence slipping away, she soon became desperately low.

Your donation could help distressed older people like Barbara to start enjoying life again, manage her finances, meet friends and support her with the help of a care worker.

Ted feels invisible

elderly asian gentlemanLike over 20,000 older people in Notts who feel trapped in their own home, Ted has not seen a friendly face for more than a month.

Your donation could pay for a volunteer visit and give a lonely older person like Ted someone to talk to. Because no one should feel invisible.
