George Street Chapel

Age UK Oldham's Conference & Events Venue and Heritage Resource Centre

George Street Chapel is a beautifully restored, charismatic Grade II* listed former Independent Methodist Chapel in the centre of Oldham.

With no other building in the area boasting the ambience and character of this setting, George Street Chapel is unique in what it can offer for an array of events.

Opening its doors to the public in October 2014 after a considerable Heritage Lottery and Architectural Heritage funded refurbishment, the result is a fresh and airy ambience in a building which retails a charismatic and historical charm.

Whether you are in need of a conference and business function space, a wedding or celebration venue, somewhere to hold a private or commercial event, an interesting heritage tour or a school visit then George Street Chapel, located in the centre of Oldham, is a must see.

Having received a large proportion of our funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we have been able to bring the building up to date in terms of audio-visual equipment and modern facilities, making the space exceptionally versatile and flexible to suit you.

The central location of the chapel means its easily accessible using various modes of transport. The tram system, the bus station and car parking are all in very close proximity.
