Our information and advice service offers help and advice for everyone over 50 and their carers, on a wide range of issues.
To refer to the Information and Advice Service for Welfare Benefits information, advice or form filling, please fully complete our referral form which can be downloaded here. All referrals will receive an inital telephone call within two working days of receiving the referral and any subsequent appointments will be booked as necessary.
You can call in at our new Information Centre, 2 Lord Street, Oldham OL1 3EY (facing the main post office) 9.30 – 3.30 each weekday for general advice and non-form filling appointments with our advisers.
Telephone our advisors for help: 0161 622 9333, 0161 622 9312, 0161 622 9311 9.00 – 4.30 p.m. each weekday to make an appointment, order written guides or just to speak with someone who can point you in the right direction. If our lines are busy, please leave your name and number and we will contact you back just as soon as an advisor is available.

If you would like help to complete forms you will need to make an appointment with our advisor. Office appointments are available on Monday, Tuesday and Fridays. Home visits can be made available in some circumstances.
If your query is urgent and outside our office hours, you can contact Age UK free Advice Line between 8.00am and 7.00pm each day. The Advice Line will be available to offer initial advice with the option to refer you back to Age UK Oldham for any follow up support you may need.
