This joint campaign between Age UK and innocent drinks helps vulnerable older people across the country. You knit the hats, innocent drinks wear them, and 25p of every drink sold goes to Age UK.
We will let you know the total needed for 2015. If you have any hats already knitted please bring them along to our offices in Lincoln Road or to our Westgate shop as we will put these to our next year total.
Please still give us your name, address and contact details so that we can thank you and spread the word amongst your friends.

So get out those needles and make a start using one of these patterns or make your own pattern. If you would like to submit a pattern to be included in the booklet please send the pattern to Christine Wildman or Angela Allen at firstname.lastname@example.org preferably with a photo. If you unsure of the fit of your hats, we have a few empty bottles available at The Lindens. Please email reception and they will get somone to send one to you, or call in and we will be pleased to let you have one. Hats can be dropped off at any time at The Lindens.
We are very grateful for all your help - tell your knitting friends so we can make 2015 our best year yet. Also keep an eye on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AgeUKPeterborough) and please share your pictures and comments. Thank you
As many as 25,000 older people may die needlessly this winter because of the cold in England and Wales. Spread the Warmth is Age UK's campaign to prevent these deaths.
In addition to raising much-needed funds for the Spread the Warmth campaign, the Big Knit is a great way to bring people and communities together.
'The Big Knit campaign couldn't happen without the support of thousands of amazing people across the UK who take part and knit woolly hats to adorn innocent smoothies each year'. Douglas Lamont, Marketing Director at Innocent.
We hope that our knitting activity in Peterborough will make a large contribution to this national campaign. The money we raise from our involvement will be spent directly on supporting older people in Peterborough.
