Online at Home Project
Online at Home is a six month project for people over 50 who wish to learn computer skills and who do not have access to one at home.
Age UK Plymouth's Online at Home scheme is designed to help isolated or housebound older people learn how to use the internet.
The project will allow us to lend out a laptop or computer to a limited number of people. We will provide FREE broadband, regular training sessions and support. There is NO CHARGE for this service and the only stipulation to sign up for our Online at Home project is that you are aged 50 or over.
One of our volunteer IT tutors will help to set up the free equipment in your home and support you through the process of learning how to email, visit websites and communicate using Skype. You will have 5 free tuition sessions to help you learn how to use the internet and overcome any difficulties you may encounter.
At the end of the 6 month period you can either purchase the laptop / desktop computer or simply return it to us. There is no obligation at all to buy!
Simply complete the application form and return it to Age UK Plymouth. There is a total of 35 places available and these will be allocated on a first come first served basis - so don't delay in booking your place.
If you have any questions or you wish to discuss the project please call Jim Tomlinson on (01752) 256020.
