Buildings and contents insurance will cover you against the following:***

• Fire, explosion, lightning, earthquake
• Storm or flood
• Collisions or impact by any vehicle, trains, aircraft or animals
• Riot or malicious damage
• Escape of water or oil from fixed installations
• Theft or attempted theft
• Falling trees, branches, telegraph poles and lamp posts
• Subsidence, ground heave or landslip

Extra benefits: Available 24 hours, 365 days a year.

24-hour domestic emergency service: A local authorised repairer can visit your home and you will be advised of any charges beforehand. If the incident is covered by your policy, the cost will be repaid (minus any excess).

Identity theft helpline services: If you are a victim or worried about identity theft, there is advice and guidance.

24-hour legal helpline: Expert independent and confidential advice on any legal problem. 

Optional additional voluntary excess: If you agree to pay an additional excess of either £50, £100 or £250 for your buildings and contents cover, you can reduce your insurance premium. This is on top of the standard £45 policy excess.

You have fourteen days from when you receive your policy schedule or enter into this contract, whichever is later, to write to Ageas if you want to cancel your policy. If you cancel your policy during this period of time, as long as you have not made a claim, Ageas will give you a refund for the period of time that was left on your policy.
