Helpful home insurance tips

• Review your policy each year by calculating how much it would cost to replace all home contents and checking that you have enough cover.
• Keep valuables out of sight of potential burglars and install timers that switch lights on when you are not there.
• Ask callers for proof of identity. If you are not convinced of their identity, don't let them in. Never hand over cash.
• Check your home insurance policy before paying out for specialist mobile phone cover. 
• Prepare your home for bad weather.

You have fourteen days from when you receive your policy schedule or enter into this contract, whichever is later, to write to Ageas if you want to cancel your policy. If you cancel your policy during this period of time, as long as you have not made a claim, Ageas will give you a refund for the period of time that was left on your policy.
