These two events provided delegates with an opportunity to discuss what is currently working well in the system and to share experiences and examples with colleagues which are helping to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and which result in a safe discharge for an older person. Some traditional myths were 'busted' about what we think is working in the system - with the evidence support - and good practice was shared amongst delegates who were pleased to have a space in which to consider the challenges of raising quality whilst cutting costs.
