Age needs one voice. Now it has:
Age UK is the new force combining Age Concern England and
Help the Aged in England.
Falls Awareness Week takes place every year in June. This year’s Falls Awareness Week had the theme of healthy feet.
In the spring 2014 you will be able to use the box below to search for up coming events. In the meantime we have a selection of resources available electronically.
Through local events and national media coverage, Falls Awareness Weeks offer an opportunity for older people, relatives and carers to find out more about falls and take part in the local classes and services that can help to prevent them. Anyone working with older people or in falls service can hold an event, and no event is too big or too small. We provide a range of resources designed to help you hold a Falls Awareness Week event.
‘We have participated in Falls Awareness Week annually and find it to be a positive experience for publicising the service, advising on safety issues and team building.'
