Our programmes blend training in our centres and work-based training, with work placements available in infant schools, child care facilities and play groups.
Many of our programmes have government funding available for eligible participants.
Participants in our training programmes can gain nationally recognised qualifications (NVQ) at level 2 and level 3, and key skills awards at level 1 and level 2.
Participants can gain children's care, learning and development key skills and qualifications for managers through the modern skills diploma award, which we deliver from our training centre in Ebbw Vale in Wales.
Participants can gain national vocational qualifications in children's care, learning and development through React, which we deliver from our training centre in Ebbw Vale in Wales. We enable participants to achieve children's care, learning and development key skills and qualifications through Skill Build, which we also deliver from our training centre in Ebbw Vale, and through work-focused training, which we deliver from our training centres in the north Midlands.
Participants can gain national vocational qualifications in children's care, learning and development through young apprenticeships, apprenticeships and advanced apprenticeships, as we deliver them from our training centres in Yorkshire and the north Midlands, and modern apprenticeships, which we deliver from our training centre in Ebbw Vale in Wales.
Participants can also achieve national vocational qualifications in children's care, learning and development through Train to Gain, the tailored training programme, as we deliver it through care organisations from our training centres in Yorkshire and the north Midlands.
We enable participants to achieve City & Guilds key skill and profile of achievement awards through our Skill Build preparation for motherhood programme, which we deliver from our training centre in Ebbw Vale in Wales.

A download is a document (like a research report, a leaflet, or an application form) that can be transferred from our website to your computer. You can download a file, view it on your screen, print it, or save it to your computer.
PDF stands for ‘portable document format’.
Most downloads on this website are PDFs. We use this format to ensure that the document looks the same on everyone’s computer (website pages, by contrast, appear differently depending on how people have set their computer up).
Computers use a program called Adobe Acrobat Reader to download PDFs. If you try clicking on a link to download a PDF and it doesn’t work, you will need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader onto your computer.
The process is quite straightforward and is free.
PDFs cannot be changed. If you need to be able to type into a downloaded document (for example, if we are offering a letter template that you need to put your name on) we will provide it as a Microsoft Word document rather than a PDF. You can then download it, type into it and save it to your computer.
Downloads will open on your computer in a new browser window.
Inside this window (below all your web browser menus), there will be a toolbar with options for you to print or save the document.
