Age Scotland Helpline

The Age Scotland Helpline offers an independent, confidential telephone based information service to people aged fifty and over living in Scotland, and to those associated with them such as their carers and families.

The Helpline has a trained team of paid staff and volunteers who specialise in answering enquiries from or about older people.  Whatever your questions, about community care, tax, pensions, benefits or any other issue, just talk to the Age Scotland Helpline to find an answer. Our staff are here and ready to help from 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday (10am -7pm on Tuesday).  Call us on 0845 125 9732 (local call rates apply) Textphone:  0845 226 5851

Easier Referrals

We are working with national and local organisations to make referring between organisations easier, to ensure that older people can find the right answer, and get the right help to act on that information, with as little trouble as possible.

Policy Work

We don't just want to answer enquiries, but to make life better for all older people, and ensure that older people in the future won't be facing the same problems people do today.  And so the enquiries we get will inform development of Age Scotland policy.  The issues older people call about are the same issues which we will act on.
