Day centres
Find out about day centres throughout Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Each day centre is local to its area. They open one day a week usually between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
Activities
Each day centre has its own character. The majority of day centres include some form of activity, such as cards and games, crafts, guest speakers, gentle exercise to music, quizzes and bingo.
All day centres provide a hot two course lunch and there are also occasional trips and meals out.
Charges
A small charge is made towards the costs and most centres also have a weekly raffle to raise funds.
Transport
Generally, transport to and from the day centre is provided by either car or in some areas specially adapted minibus. In some cases members are asked to make their own arrangements.

Each day centre is run by a team of much valued volunteers who are supported by Age UK Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin staff.
Referrals are made to the local Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin office and are usually made by Social Services, GPs, health visitors, family members and friends.
