Knit, Stitch & Natter

A free weekly group for those who enjoy any kind of needle craft. The group meets weekly on Monday mornings at Gateway Coffee Shop, The Gateway Arts & Education Centre, Shrewsbury.

Stitch & Mix Shrewsbury

A free social craft group for those who enjoy knitting, crochet, sewing or embroidery and having a chat. The group meets weekly on Thursday afternoons at Re:creation Cafe, Riverside Mall, Shrewsbury.

Stitch & Mix Telford

Do you knit, crochet, sew or embroider? This free craft group is for all levels, from beginners to experts. Bring along your own project and meet others with similar interests. The group meets every week on Tuesday mornings at The Chapel, Meeting Point House, Southwater Square, Telford.

Computers

IT Class

Drop in session with experienced tutors for those who know nothing about IT, to those wanting to know more about a device they already have. Learn to use a computer or tablet to send emails, use Facebook or do online shopping. Brookside Community Centre, Bembridge, Brookside, every Wednesday afternoon. Cost £4.00.

All Ability Fitness Health Session for Men

This is a friendly, informal weekly exercise session on Wednesday afternoons at Shrewsbury United Reform Church, Coleham Head, Shrewsbury. It is specially designed for men over 55 to improve their strength, co-ordination and balance. Cost £4.00 per session.

A low impact, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired exercise session on Wednesday afternoons at Shrewsbury United Reform Church, Coleham Head, Shrewsbury. Cost £4.00.

Extend Exercise Group

A weekly class of gentle exercise to music on a Thursday morning at The Beaconsfield Club, Meadow Place, Shrewsbury. The cost is £4.00.

Activities Morning

Held every Thursday morning at Admaston House Community Centre, Wellington Road, Admaston, this two hour session consists of gentle exercise with the option of having a massage afterwards. Cost is £4.00.

Dance Excercise

Have fun as you dance your way to fitness at this weekly Wednesday afternoon session at The Sambrook Centre, Grange Avenue, Stirchley. £4.00 per session.

Dance Fit

CJ's Gentle Dance Fit classes are fun and suitable for all ability levels. Come along on your own or with friends to this weekly Friday afternoon session at Hollinswood Neighbourhood Centre, Downmeade, Hollinswood. £2.50 per session.

A daytime group for book lovers, meeting the first Wednesday of every month at Shrewsbury Library, Castle Gates, Shrewsbury. Books are chosen by the members and supplied by Shropshire Libraries. A contribution of £1.00 - £1.50 per session is appreciated.

This book lovers group meets at The Lantern Community Building, Meadow Farm Drive, Shrewsbury on the second Friday of every month. Books are chosen by the members and supplied by Shropshire Libraries. A contribution of £1.00 - £1.50 per session is appreciated.

Simply social

Tuesday Afternoon Tea

Join us at Central, Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Claremont Street, Shrewsbury for refreshments and a varied program of entertainments on Tuesday afternoons, once every two weeks. Previously the entertainment has included quizzes, historical talks, music making sessions and even a performance by the Community Ukele Band. A contribution of £4.00 per session is appreciated.

Singing

Community Choir

Join our Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin community choir of enthusiastic singers aged 50+. The choir meets at Orchard Cafe, Town Walls, Shrewsbury on Tuesday afternoons. Led by Adrian Plant, the informal singing sessions feature classic and popular songs that can be chosen by you. A contribution of £3.00 per session is appreciated.

Find Your Voice

Free, fun, informal singing sessions for people over 50, held at Central, Shrewsbury Baptist Church, Claremont Street, Shrewsbury on Monday afternoons. Run in partnership with Shrewsbury Sixth Form College.
