An excellent resource has been created by film maker, David Jay in conjunction with our Forget-me-not goups. The project was funded by grants from private funders, via the Suffolk Community Foundation.
It provides an excellent tool for reflection and conversation with people who may have memory problems.
David Jay said "There are many films that can be used to help unlock memories.  Most are archive productions showing specific places and people. Although useful, for some it is difficult to link the relevance with their own memories"

The latest film in the series by David Jay provides an excellent resource for reflection and conversation with people who may have memory problems.

The project was funded by grants from private funders, via the Suffolk Community Foundation.

The stories in this film come from sessions run at Sue Ryder Synergy Cafes where people were encouraged to share their memories of school days.

Relive the moment - School Days

This is the third film in the series - previous ones looked at a day on the beach and sweets. A fourth film looking at games played at home is in development.

In the future a DVD with all 4 programmes will be created and made available to care homes.
