Older people have a wealth of knowledge, history and experience and deserve to be supported and cared about as individuals, rather than thought of as simply a group or statistic.

There's more to me is designed to enhance the services we provide so that we can continue our work and treat people with dignity; respecting each other in their own right.

Just £22 supports one older person in Suffolk for a month.  To donate visit our Justgiving page.

We're looking for schools and businesses to work with us and spread the word about Age UK Suffolk, and reach as wide an audience as possible.

The Big Chinwag

We had a very special Big Chinwag at Somerleyton Hall. Pupils from Somerleyton Primary School joined us for tea and cake, and met members from our Day Centre at Marram Green.

The children enjoyed meeting and chatting to everyone. "There's more to me" is a great way to enourage children to find out more about older relatives and their fascinating history.

Download our conversation starter and ask your family and friends to share their stories.

Our thanks to students from West Suffolk College and the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds for sharing this short video. Our members at the Day Centre in Bury St Edmunds were asked "what advice would you give for a happy life?"
