Sunderland LINk
Age UK Sunderland is contracted through Sunderland City Council to host the Local Involvement Network (LINk).
Sunderland LINk is a volunteer lead project steered by a core group of 12 elected members from a wider membership across the City.
The core group is supported by a team of four paid staff employed by Age UK Sunderland, who facilitate the day to day activities of the LINk such as running events and engaging with the community.
The LINk is very distinct from other Age UK Sunderland activities and projects in that it is not a service exclusively aimed at older people but exists to serve the interests of all members of the public who use local services.
LINk's were established across the country in April 2008 to give the public a means to voice their opinion of local health and social care services. Sunderland LINk wants to hear about your experiences of services and your ideas for improvements or changes.
