We provide healthy walking activities that are a great way to improve your overall health and fitness whilst also giving you the chance to make new friends. If you are over 50, the GO50 programme can help to introduce you to a healthier lifestyle and the benefits of regular exercise. Walking with others and socialising as you exercise can really add to the beneficial effects of exercise.

Regular exercise can:

  • improve balance and flexibility
  • lower blood pressure
  • defend against heart disease, stroke and type 2 diabetes
  • help maintain cognitive function
  • reduce depression and anxiety
