The Isle of Skye - tasty food and drink

The Island of Lundy - great for bird-watching

Meaning ´puffin island´ in old Norse, Lundy is situated off the north Devon coast.  It is home to all sorts of amazing wildlife, including seals and basking sharks. In fact, the seas surrounding Lundy are England's only statutory Marine Nature Reserve. There are also, of course, plenty of puffins here, and the best time to see the birds is during May and June. And when you want a break from watching nature, Lundy offers lots of alternative activities, such as walking, climbing, or canoeing.

The Isle of Man - one for the history buffs

The Isle of Man is the perfect destination for the history buff. There are loads of old churches, castles, and forts to explore. You can visit remains dating as far back as the Bronze, Iron and Stone Ages. The Vikings’ presence can still be strongly felt at the Isle of Man’s parliament, Tynwald. It is in fact the oldest continuous parliament in the world.
