A direct payment is money paid by the local authority, Warwickshire County Council, to enable you to arrange your own care and support services.
What is a direct payment?
Direct Payments provide people with the opportunity to take greater control over the decisions that affect their lives and the flexibility to receive services that really suit their individual needs and lifestyle. This serves as an alternative to having services directly provided by Warwickshire County Council. Some people prefer this, as it often allows you to live much more independently.
However, it can mean taking on greater responsibilities, so knowing all about it is important.
