Senior Support Worker, Elderberry Service in Crawley

8 hours every Thursday. Salary £9.23 per hour

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to assist people who have extra support needs including dementia for our Elderberry Service held in our Crawley Centre in West Green every Thursday. You will be required to supervise the club day by running activities, provide assistance to members, support to their carers and supervise the small committed staff and volunteer team ensuring all service standards are met.

Experience of hands-on  working with frail older people and those with dementia, team supervision plus a caring and compassionate disposition are essential for this role.

Head of Community Activities and Wellbeing
 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday 

Salary £38,000 rising in six months

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced person to add value to our growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing existing services cost effectively. The post holder will have an entrepreneurial mind set and leadership qualities. The ideal person will be a creative strategist with excellent organisational abilities. This is a senior role within a major local organisation with a £2m turnover, responsibility for projects with £1m turnover. The post holder will lead, direct and manage a range of services providing health and wellbeing services in the community within this department. There is a major tender due. There are currently 8 projects within this department and there is scope for redesign and growth.

The post holder will require operational and financial acumen to ensure current and future operations are fit for purpose, are relevant and meet the market need, that continued delivery is on a sustainable and viable basis and can evidence positive outcomes and value in the market we are operating in.

We anticipate the post holder will have managed projects with a budget of £500k plus and been directly responsible for setting up and managing and/or closing major projects.

Fitness Instructor required for our Crawley Centre

8 contracted hours per week, salary £10.25 per hour

An exciting new position has been created to deliver fitness classes in our Crawley centre and community clubs in various venues in Crawley, plus to assist our Crawley Activities Manager to develop fitness classes on our activity programme. We need an enthusiastic REPS Level 2 qualified individual who will run a variety of  fitness classes each morning when the centre opens Monday to Friday and for clubs, at various times in the community, with potential for more. With good communication skills, you will enjoy delivering fitness classes that are fun and social and can offer great customer service.

Community Link Worker

We have two FTE posts, Salary £17,970 per annum based in Horsham and East Grinstead.

Community Link Specialists (CLS) will work alongside existing services to support patients to navigate their way around Health, Social Care and Voluntary Sector Services to access community based solutions to help manage their conditions and improve their quality of life.

The CLSs will work with a team of volunteers to provide patients with the information and advice to identify solutions to their circumstances and bring about the changes necessary to improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Bank Take Home and Settle Co-ordinator

The team of Take Home and Settle Co-ordinators provide vulnerable people with the support they need to return home safely rather than be admitted to hospital due to a lack of support at home. They carry out their duties in Princess Royal hospital, Haywards Heath, East Surrey Hospital in Redhill, Crawley Hospital in Crawley and St Richards hospital in Chichester.

You will be required to work 7-hour shifts from 10.00am to 18.00pm, £9.30 per hour. The service is available six days a week.

Relative Support Co-ordinator

The Relative Support Co-ordinators work at Bognor War Memorial Hospital and Crawley Hospital providing information and advice on the range of issues that can arise resulting from patients and families having to make life changing decisions in relation to ongoing care and housing options.

You will be required to work 3 hours per shift, Monday to Saturday from 18.00 to 21.00 hours, £8.80 per hour.

This position is a self employed role, you advise us of your availability, and will be responsible for your own Tax and National Insurance payments. We especially need home helpers in Bognor Regis, Chichester and Selsey areas, and also the Crawley and Mid-Sussex areas.  Hourly rates of pay vary from £10-£14 depending on area worked.
