Centre Manager, Laburnum Centre, Bognor Regis

37 hours per week. Salary £25,000 - £28,000 per annum dependant on experience.

The Laburnum Activity Centre, Bognor Regis is a vibrant and busy centre for people who love later life. With over 1000 members, we are looking for a new manager, ideally from a commercial background, to manage the centre and develop the membership base, activity programme and venue hires.

With proven experience of team management to lead our committed staff and volunteer teams, the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Community Activities to develop all aspects of the centre. The successful candidate will be empathetic to the needs of older people and the services Age UK West Sussex provides.

Centre Manager, Haywards Heath

37 hours per week. Salary £25,000 - £28,000 per annum dependant on experience.

We provide food, friendship and fun for over 300 older people in Mid Sussex. This exciting job will involve management of the centre and the staff/kitchen staff employed to work directly with older people. Being flexible is key; from being able to roll up your sleeves and set up tables for a card game to meeting with local politicians or other voluntary sector managers. Setting up and developing activities a new generation of older people will enjoy is a fundamental task as well as ensuring the projects cover costs, stick to budgets and meet targets. These are all skills required.
 
We have recently moved to a brand new state of the art centre in Haywards Heath which makes this an exciting time to be joining our dedicated team of staff and volunteers.

Community Support Worker 

We have 64 hours available and can be flexible with the working hours

£9.35 per hour, based at County Hall North Horsham

We work with West Sussex County Council Prevention Assessment Team to support the wellbeing of adults and older people. The role provides access to practical support to vulnerable people where a specific need exists. The purpose is to engage directly with clients to provide one-off, time limited practical support to access sources of support available within the local area. The successful applicant will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, delivering a range of expertise, including health and social care to enable people to make any changes in their lives or make informed choices necessary to resolve their issues.

Take home and Settle Coordinator

15 hours per week, over a 3 day rota Monday to Saturday, Salary £7,620
Based in St Richards Hospital,


The team of Take Home and Settle Co-ordinators provide vulnerable people with the support they need to return home safely rather than be admitted to hospital due to a lack of support at home. Our Clients are people who live alone and do not have immediate support at home.
We collect patients from the discharge lounge:
•    take them home,
•    maybe do a bit of shopping on the way,
•    settle them at home checking heating and other facilities are working
•    ensure they have eaten
•    make sure they are comfortable
•    notify network of support they are home
The successful applicant will need a practical approach, good people skills and will require a full driving licence and use of a car.

Housing Solutions Coordinator
18 hours per week Salary £9,360 per annum
Based in Littlehampton, working in Chichester District and Arun
We deliver an information and advice service to people aged over 50, their families and carers on a wide range of issues, operating an Advice Quality Standard quality marked advice line from our headquarters in Littlehampton, face to face advice at outreach locations throughout West Sussex and home visits for less mobile clients.   
We have extended this very successful service to include a service for those clients who decide their best option is to have aids and adaptions to their existing home or to move but they do not have the network of support to enable them to realize their preferred housing solution. The support provided will include help with paperwork, accessing professional services and supporting the client to move from one home to another.
Community Support Worker, 32 hours per week
Salary £15,558.40 per annum
