Retiring to another country is a big decision, so do as much research as possible before leaving the UK. Alternatively, you may already have been living overseas, but have decided to move back to the UK. In the time you’ve been away there may be changes in the UK you need to prepare for.

Sheltered housing

If you want to live independently but somewhere easier to manage, sheltered, or retirement housing could appeal to you.

Care homes

If you need more personal care than sheltered housing can give you, moving to a care home could be an option.
