Our men's cookery team stars on BBC Breakfast

The BBC Breakfast film crew filmed one of Age UK Barnet's men's cookery sessions at Hartley Hall in Mill Hill last week - and then asked our volunteer instructor and a participant to go on the show!

Volunteer nancy and men's cookery participant Malcolm travelled to the BBC Manchester studios on Sunday afternoon.

On Monday morning they were live on BBC Breakfast - and did a brilliant interview with presenters Louise Minchin and Dan Walker about why it's never too late to start cooking.

The film, which was shown before the interview, focuses on Frank, another cookery participant at Hartley Hall, who looks after his wife who has Alzheimer's.

Frank comes along to our cookery classes to pick up cooking skills to help him care for his wife and, as he says, it's the highlight of his week.
