Our Dementia Befriending Service provides companionship to older people who are living with dementia.

'A dementia diagnosis can bring many challenges including feelings of loneliness and isolation and our new service aims to combat loneliness and make people feel part of the wider community,' says Becky Bayne, who is coordinating the service.

The aims of this service

to provide companionship to older people who are living with dementia

to help combat loneliness and isolation

to assist these individuals to feel part of the wider community

This service is for people with a confirmed diagnosis of dementia within the mild to moderate range, who are socially isolated and would like a companion.
