What are we doing?

All the great stuff we are usually doing across Barnsley for both individuals and groups that involves face to face contact is either being put on hold or is happening in a different way.

Our reception is open for telephone contact: Monday to Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm (excluding bank holidays)

Our focus is currently on telephone befriending and providing a shopping service for those older people without a support network to help them.  If you or someone you know is in that situation, please contact us on 01226 776820 or email for more details.

Our Information & Advice service continues to operate, but due to the restrictions in place it is by telephone or email only, call us on 01226 776825 or email

Please help us!

Over the coming months demand for our services will be particularly high, this will happen whilst our resources will be stretched to the limit.  The income we usually rely on from our 3 charity shops and the associated services such as hire charges from Access Barnsley will not be forthcoming for some time.

To donate, to help keep us able to care for Barnsley’s older people as much as we can during these strange times and beyond, please click here for more details.
