We’re proud that 93% of our income directly supports our charitable aims; growing an age-friendly community that enables people to age well.

The remaining 7% of our income is spent on vital support services and on raising more money.

How we fund our work

We are a small, local independent charity and we need to raise money in order to offer support and services to people in Bath & North East Somerset. We do this in a variety of ways:

  • Donations

We are so grateful to the people who send us donations, they may be people who have used our services, people in our community who believe in our cause, or even local businesses.

  • Grants

We apply to Trusts and Foundations across the country in the hope that they will award grants to us. They may fund specific projects or give unrestricted funding that we can use where most needed.

  • Earned income

We deliver a paid-for, home-help service, and do our best to keep prices affordable whilst covering our costs. Any profits made would be channelled back into the charity to fund our vital services.

  • NHS Contracts

We are responsible for delivering some services on behalf of the NHS. This includes our Home from Hospital service in Bath & North East Somerset and Wiltshire. We receive funding through the local HCRG Health Care Group to deliver these services.

Thank you for your interest in how our work is funded, without the support of the local community and other funders, we simply wouldn’t be able to support people in Bath & North East Somerset. You can find more information in our annual return on the Charity Commission Website.
