The charity has currently suspended most of its community activities and services during this national crisis. We are currently working with a number of agencies locally to develop a range of alternatives that will ensure support, advice and information is still available to those who need it.


Below is a brief outline of the support that is still on offer.


Information services

Our front of house service, reception and telephone information service have been closed. Our usual contact centre at 020 8300 0883 is trasfering calls to staff who working remotely. Messages can also be left and are picked up daily and action taken promptly to deal with them. We recognise that people across the borough want to help in as many ways as possible. The charity is working with the local authority and other charity partners to identify the quickest method to ensure those coming forward can be used safely and without compromising the health of those they come in to contact with. 

Day care

Our day service has now be suspended as has our taking of  any new day care referrals. We are currently working with our borough partners to explore options to redploy our staff to directly support those who may be isolated at home with little immediate help.


This service has been suspended. As a volunteer supported service we will resume once the current situation is resolved. alternative support can be found at the boroughs staying put service. Please follow the link here


Our befriending service is taking no new referrals and is providing telephone support only. We are reorganising our wider staff resource to phone other individuals who have used other of the charity's services to ensure they are not completely without contact and support. 

Befriending Cafes and fitness sessions

We have had to close all our community based activities as many of the buildings in which we deliver the services have made the decision to close. We will restart these once the situation has  eased.

Foot care

Our foot care service, both clinics and home based has been closed. All new referrals have been suspended and we are currently informing existing clients that their appointments will be rescheduled to a later date.

Men in Sheds

The workshop is shut and we are not taking on any new members at this time, though we are setting up on line support for existing members and options for small projects to be developed in their homes

Welfare Advice service

Our advice service will continue to offer some limited telephone advice, and will additionlly act as an information gateway for callers to our contact centre.
