Charity Shop Assistant Manager (Hamstead)

21 hours per week (flexible over 7 days)

£9,774 per annum pro rata plus pension and healthcare scheme benefits (£8.95 per hour.)

 

The opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Retail Team in in Hamstead (near Great Barr, Birmingham) but also supporting the other shops in the retail estate. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate management skills from the day to day running of the shop to assisting in the recruitment of a team of volunteers. You will also have a positive and enthusiastic attitude whilst using your retail flair to exceed the shops targets

The ideal candidate

This is a forward thinking, energetic role for someone passionate about delivering high quality standards of presentation and service to customers. Ideally, you will have proven experience of charity shop work or other fast paced retail.  You must have good communication and organisational skills, and be able to act as the first contact for many potential clients who needed our other services.

The organisation

We are a locally focused charity with over 120 staff and volunteers across Birmingham and Sandwell. We provide free, impartial advice and information on a wide range of issues to people aged 50 and over.  We are looking to grow and expand to reach more of the older people in Birmingham and Sandwell. Please note that while this vacancy is primarily to cover the Hamstead shop, should the need arise, you may also be asked to travel retail sites around Birmingham and Sandwell.
